Imagine what life would be like if you were not a Christian. Each problem you faced would be scary, cause you pain, and leave you feeling hopeless. You would walk around the earth with the weight of sin resting on your shoulders. When you faced problems that caused you to feel down, you wouldn’t have anywhere to turn.

Thankfully, by following the Christian faith we don’t have to suffer in this way. We can let go of the sadness we may feel by turning to Jesus Christ for comfort. He is always there, waiting to help us with any obstacle we may face. He listens to our problems and offers guidance. The Bible itself is full of inspirational verses that will lift you up and get you feeling better again.

Proverbs 3:5-6

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight.” - Proverbs 3:5-6

Some Christians have a hard time releasing full control to God, but when we do so a huge weight is lifted off of our shoulders. God is all-knowing, and He has a bigger plan for us even if we don’t know what it is just yet. Choose to put God in every part of your life, and He will guide you to bigger and better things. Don’t worry what society, your friends, or family might tell you to do. Rely on God’s understanding of your situation first and foremost, and you will come out alright.

1 Corinthians 9:25-27

"Everyone who competes in the games goes into strict training. They do it to get a crown that will not last, but we do it to get a crown that will last forever. Therefore I do not run like someone running aimlessly; I do not fight like a boxer beating the air. While an athlete trains to win a small prize, Christians train their entire lives to one day get the everlasting prize of living in Heaven. We don’t run around aimlessly trying to win small victories, instead we are given the opportunities to preach endlessly to others, work each day to be more like Christ, and continually build a solid relationship with the Lord.

Psalms 40:1-3

He lifted me out of the pit of despair, out from the bog and the mire, and set my feet on a hard, firm path and steadied me as I walked along. Before you found God in your life, you may have felt alone and afraid. However when you accepted Him into your heart, you were able to feel the blessings of His love. He was able to give you a strong foundation to walk on, and guide you on the next steps in your life. Praise be that God would do something so special for each of His children.

Romans 5:6-8

But God demonstrates His own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us." - Romans 5:6-8

When we weren’t even born yet, God was planning something miraculous in the world. God chose to show compassion, grace, and love by giving the people of earth a way to get to heaven through His Son Jesus Christ. What a beautiful, selfless act that God committed. It’s passages like these that remind Christians that we are blessed more ever, and no trivial problem we might face on this earth can ruin that.
