However armed with the knowledge of the zodiac signs, it is easy to figure out that the guy ghosted you because he's an Aquarius, you are unhappy with the woman who should be perfect for you because you are a Virgo, and your Tinder match is bad at texting because they are a Cancer.

You can also learn more about yourself and your own dating habits. Your Libra sign may be causing you to hide your own feelings because you hate conflict, for example. When you understand your downfalls, you can fix them. Your particular sign can have an impact on anything from the people who find you attractive to the types of relationships that keep you satisfied in the long term.

Here is what you can expect out of relationships based on your sign.

Aries (March 21 – April 19)

Independence and strong-mindedness are the hallmarks of the Aries sign. They are famously spontaneous and confident, so one of the best things about dating an Aries is that they are never, ever boring. Governed by Mars, they're natural warriors. They're also known to throw horrendous temper tantrums. In the heat of the moment, these rams may end up saying things they'll regret moments later. This means that issues don't fester and they are very direct with issues they have in the relationship. However when they have a like-minded partner, it creates a very harmonious relationship in which both feel very comfortable with the other person's natural confidence.

Gemini (May 21 – June 20)

People born under the Gemini sign are often representing two different personalities at once. They typically prefer a more casual relationship. Because of this, it may be challenging to settle down with a Gemini and it can also be difficult for Geminis to open up emotionally. When coupled, these celestial twins need to make sure they're prioritizing their bonds, because partnerships put on the back burner are unlikely to flourish. Gemini are actually happiest when they're spread thin, but that doesn’t always go well over well when partnered with needy signs. Geminis are social and bubbly creatures, so they also need a relationship where fun is abundant to keep from getting bored.

Cancer (June 21 – July 22)

The first water sign, these celestial crustaceans are governed by the moon, and they're known for their nurturing, compassionate, and sensitive dispositions. Some people will brand Cancers as the needy one, but they're just deeply affectionate and always like to express their endearment in various ways. They are very in touch with their feelings and it’s important for them to find someone who knows how to take care of a fragile heart. Leo (July 23 – August 22)

A Leo is a very passionate person, and will be absolutely obsessed with whoever they get into a relationship with. They can’t possibly picture a life without their partner and that makes them protective and nurturing. They love to shine, however, and if they feel that their spotlight is being threatened their dispositions change drastically. Leos are known to have a bit of an ego, and they can quickly become jealous, possessive, and even controlling. Leos must remember that relationships are about reciprocity and that their lovers also deserve to glow. One of the major challenges for Leos is that their dynamic personality can lend itself to over-the-top arguments.

Virgo (August 23 – September 22)

Virgos are highly intellectual and incredibly observant, and these earth signs love creating systems that are organized and logical. Virgos have a strong desire to serve and to share in personal growth with a romantic partner. But while their attributes are extremely valuable, they can also cause difficulties within a relationship. They don’t like to open themselves up to people so easily, and their love of organization can also hold them back from spontaneity. Sagittarius (November 22 – December 21)

A Sagittarius comes with a willingness to leave a relationship that isn't working. They are less likely than most to waste their time on someone that no longer makes them happy. Consequently, they draw firm boundaries when it comes to how they allow partners to treat them. Sagittarius energy is symbolized by the archer, and Sagittarians fill their curious souls through travel, philosophy, and thrill-seeking. Capricorn (December 22 – January 19)

Governed by Saturn, the planet that rules both time and karma, these earth signs are primarily interested in building long-term partnerships that support their goals. Aquarius (January 20 – February 18)

The average Aquarian is careful about showing deep feelings, so they come across as mysterious and alluring. Aquarians are often more interested in society at large than in their interpersonal relationships. They also value their independence and will often initially seek a friendship over a committed relationship. When they do have a relationship, they want someone who can engage with them intellectually on the most complex topics known to man.
