While I've always made a conscious choice to limit my exposure to the news, from local to world - lately it seems that it has become impossible to do so. When I check my email, turn on the television, or visit a social media site I am immediately made aware of the latest happenings around the world. Right now it feels a bit overwhelming for many of us, and it feels like every time we turn around more bad is occurring. It can be difficult to remain positive during these turbulent times, but it's important to do so, as we are all individually responsible for the type of energy we put out into the world.
