Pride
The greatest enemy to the purpose-driven life, is a pride-filled life. When God’s purpose begins to operate in a way that gets attention the danger is to absorb the glory from its rightful Owner. King Nebuchadnezzar is a perfect example of this. God increased him greatly as the King of Babylon, however pride cost him seven years in the fields living the life of a wild beast. As you begin to rise in your calling, stay grounded in God.
Prayer: Dear God, I know that royal authority comes from You alone. All that I have and all that I am is because of You. Lord my life is helpless without You. Help me to never become a glory-thief, but to always encourage others to turn it all back to You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
