Words of Hope During Times of Uncertainty
Once upon a time we learned about the news of the world in very simple formats. We learned of the conflict within nations, wars, revolutions and everything in between by turning on the news, or tuning in to the radio. As the years passed and the internet was born, this reality quickly changed. Social media has allowed us to have instant access to breaking news in every capacity. Now we can have an inside look into the truth of what is happening throughout the world in real time, and because of this, a new type of citizen has emerged: a global citizen.
Every day, more and more of us are waking up to the idea that geographical boundaries do not limit our capacity to feel compassion and empathy for others. We want change to happen, and we want to be a part of making it happen. Some days however, it can feel overwhelming - like a peaceful world is unrealistic. We lose hope and begin to doubt that it can ever happen. Thought the doubt creeps up on so many of us, sometimes we just need reminder - some hope - that good times are ahead. That we can "be the change."
