Kurt Warner
Kurt Warner was 28 years old, when the no name back-up jumped into stardom in 1999. In his second year in the NFL, he led the St Louis Rams to the Super Bowl and received the MVP award. Many thought that Warner had never touched a football before but he had, just not at the NFL level because no one ever gave him a chance.
In 2005 Warner signed a four year deal with the Arizona Cardinals. In 2008 he took the lead quarterback position, after a controversial draft of Matt Leinart. Warner, then 37 years old, took the Cardinals to the Super Bowl in 2009. Even though they lost the big game, he threw for 377 yards and 3 touchdowns. Warner set the record for most passing yards (1,156) in Super Bowl history.
