LIFEPATH 9
The Nine Life Path is the wise, old soul of the other numbers. They are here to learn how to be in a family while also setting firm, healthy boundaries. Nines need to define themselves by their own definition, not their family’s. For this reason, in love Nines are respectful of their partner’s independence. Nines enjoy being in charge but only because they’re natural leaders and usually know the best way to do things. Most Nines have issues with one of their parents from childhood that they’re here to work on. For this reason, Nines make excellent parents. The one thing Nines have to watch out for is overdoing it. Others can take advantage of a Nine’s smart, capable talents. People never notice when a Nine is sinking into exhaustion, depression or despair. Everyone looks at a Nine and thinks, “Oh they’re doing great.” Nines need to learn how to ask for help. They must engage in the flow of give and take and learn how to let others pitch in and help out.
In loves, Nines are devoted – as long as they are given plenty of alone time. Nines – like the 1 and the 7 – need solitary time to recharge their batteries. As long as a partner gives the Nine space to be who they are, the Nine will be committed and loyal in a relationship. Nines are thoughtful and are known for remembering important dates and giving meaningful gifts. Nines embrace the idea of marriage, family and commitment as long as the relationship has mutual respect, healthy boundaries and plenty of time for independence.
Nines are most compatible with Threes and Sixes. Nines share a love of creativity with the three. The happy-go-lucky nature of the Three is a nice balance to the often serious Nine. Six’s entrepreneurial nature is also a good match for the Nine’s leadership strengths. They both share a love of family and nurturing others. However, Nines are so advanced spiritually that they can really get along with any number. Nines respect the solitary nature of the 1 and 7. They admire the Four’s love of knowledge. Nines might feel uncomfortable with the Five’s intrusive nature, but they enjoy their love of travel and freedom. Even the bossy Eight is a good match for the Nine because they share a hardy work ethic. Nines get along with everyone.
