Tornadoes
Even if you don't live in a tornado-prone region, they can happen at any time during the spring and in the summer. March is the start of the tornado season. According to the Weather Channel, an estimated 76 tornadoes touch down during that month. "The parts of the South, mid-Mississippi Valley and Ohio Valley have the highest likelihood of tornadoes, compared to other regions, on average," the site reported. If you are under a tornado warning, find a basement, a storm cellar, a bathroom or go to the center of the room. If you are in a car, get out and find a building or get into a ditch and cover your head.
