INGREDIENTS:
TO PREPARE:
1. Sift together dry ingredients and set aside.
2. Beat egg, milk, and butter until smooth. Stir in cheese. Add to dry ingredients, mixing only until moistened.
3. Fill greased muffin tins 2/3 full.
4. Bake at 350 degrees 30 to 35 minutes.
HINT: Four ounces of cheese equals 1-1/2 cups shredded cheese.
YIELDS: 12 muffins

- 4 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 Tablespoon sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 egg

- 3 Tablespoons butter, softened
- 1-1/2 cups shredded sharp Cheddar cheese
