You never thought that she could do it. Being unfaithful was never an obstacle you thought you’d be facing within your marriage. It feels like your worst fears have come true and you don’t know where to begin to fix everything and feel whole again. Men who are cheated on face a social stigma that pertains to their manhood. Not only do men have to figure out how they’ll get through this challenging time, but they also are faced with the stereotype of not being manly enough if they choose to stay with their wife despite the affair. In reality, there is no concrete answer on how a man should deal with infidelity within his marriage. However, you will find hope and peace within prayers to move on. While reciting and researching prayers, it’s important to think not only about your road to recovery but also those around you – your spouse, children, family and friends. Identify the bigger picture. Through your faith you’ll find clarity and eventually resolutions to the obstacle of infidelity.

Find comfort in knowing that your Lord and Savior is standing by and will always have your back. He will provide you with the tools you will need to overcome anything that is put in your path. You have an awesome God who will stand beside you no matter what anyone else says or feels about your situation.

Instead of beating yourself up and going insane with scenario after scenario of what ifs, know that everything happens for a reason and the truth always surfaces. While you may be going through a lot of pain, you needed to know the truth. Even though you’re hurting, the truth will set everyone free. You’ll rediscover your marriage on a new level and you’ll have the opportunity to find out things about your spouse. Sometimes the truth hurts, but at least you know where everything stands. Allow the prayers to move on help you find peace and happiness. Through these prayers you’ll feel rejuvenated and represented.

Deuteronomy 29:29

Keep in mind that your spouses’ actions and the choices you make after discovering about the infidelity don’t only effect you and your spouse. Children, family members and friends are effected by the outcome of your marriage. While you are looking for a resolution to the unfaithful acts within your marriage, keep in mind the repercussions that other measures will have. It’s difficult to think about the feelings of others while you’re in pain, but keep in mind the bigger picture. Your life isn’t focused primarily on you. You love others and they should also be represented within your actions or thought process of getting through this challenging time.

Yes, when you’re betrayed by infidelity you feel as if you’ve been defeated. It can be difficult to imagine your life whole again, but know that with God anything and everything is possible. There is a stipulation – you must be willing and ready to hear what God has to say. While you may not agree with His suggestions, it’s important that you place your faith in His hands because only He knows your destiny. When you’re in the middle of handling a difficult situation, everything else can feel small compared to your misfortunes. However, maintain your focus on the bigger picture. Yes, dealing with infidelity is a difficult task but things could be much worse.

Psalm 121:1-2

“I will lift up my eyes to the hills – From whence comes my help? My help comes from the Lord, Who made heaven and earth.”

Your God is an unstoppable God. He made heaven and earth – while this obstacle may seem like an ending, know that your life has only begun. Prayers to move on will provide a much needed support system and give you a saving grace for what’s to come. The Lord will never leave your side and He will always be willing to lend you the strength you’ll need to see life after infidelity. When you’re feeling down and alone, allow God to pick you up and provide you with the strength to invigorate your day and the challenges that are proposed. You’ll find that having a strong connection with your Lord and Savior will be leave an imprint on your mind, body, and soul.

James 5:16

“Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.”

In order to find forgiveness within your heart and soul, you must confess your sins as well. Be honest and allow your true intentions to refill your strength to move forward in life. Give your spouse the platform to clear any misconstrued ideas and allow them to be honest. Even though it may hurt and the words they say will cause wounds to form, remember that the truth sets us free. In the end, you’ll be able to move forward with the reassurance that everything has been shared – there will not be any other surprises that arise. It’s important for your heart and soul to put it all out on the table ahead of time.

You took a vow. Marriage is not easy – it’s not meant to be. Know that with faith on your side anything is possible. Find it in your heart to forgive your wife and stop blaming yourself for her actions. It’s her responsibility to find salvation for herself – not yours. And you’re not the Lord and Savior therefore, you cannot caste judgement. Once you have forgiven yourself and your wife then you’ll succumb to the right state of mind to make a decision and find an appropriate resolution. Don’t think that this is going to happen overnight – these sort of things take time. Be patient and be willing to wait for God to point you into the right direction.
