Unmarried Couples Can Create a Healthy Relationship
Once you’re in a healthy and committed relationship, you will need to practice one of the hardest parts of human existence: forgiveness.
Forgiveness is hard, but the Bible tells us to, “Get rid of all bitterness, rage and anger, brawling and slander, along with every form of malice. Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you” (Ephesians 4:31-32).
Begin by forgiving the small things, the irritating habits that just don’t matter. Make it a daily discipline to let go of the annoyances that are too small to truly hinder your relationship. He cracks his knuckles too often? Learn to ignore it. She watches too much reality TV? Let it go.
Next, find room in your heart to forgive the big things. Relationships are tricky and at one point or another, you will disappoint each other. Find forgiveness in your heart so you can get past your issues. If your love is strong, finding forgiveness will make it stronger!
