Withholding Creates Problems
Problems usually occur when a person breaks the agreements within a marriage - shared morals and values. Each person, within the relationship, knows what is good and bad. Withholding is when a person within the relationship does something they shouldn't do or should be doing. By withholding, a couple falls out of communication.
When you feel yourself falling into the midst of a bad decision or a tough situation, regroup together and communicate. The best thing any couple can do is have an open line of communication. Voice your frustrations, complaints or concerns whenever you are feeling challenged. Your partner will appreciate your honesty and willingness to step out on a limb.
