Skip the DJ
When weddings are held in most Los Angeles banquet halls, they almost always have a professional DJ on hand to keep the crowd energized with the latest dance music. However, the services of a pro DJ can be quite expensive. To save yourself some money, plan to skip the DJ and instead trust yourself and your friends to entertain the crowd. While this may sound like a tough assignment, it's much easier than you think. Since the bride has to choose songs for the first dance, reception, and wedding ceremony, just take a few extra minutes and decide on some other songs to fill out the day. After deciding on the music, find a friend who has some excellent speaking and tech skills, put him or her behind the microphone, and get your groove on.
