When Emma the pig arrived at Apricot Lane Farms, farm owner John Chester was told that she would be lucky if she had six piglets. She was sick, underweight and in really rough shape. But Emma went into labor and defied the odds, delivering 17 piglets, 13 of which survived.

Emma was exhausted after her delivery and the intensity of labor didn’t help her condition. They separated her piglets to give her chance to recover. Chester and his team rallied together to save her, pulling out every trick in the book but she was still weak and continued to not eat. It wasn’t until Chester decided to bring the piglets back to their mother that a miracle took place. She now had a reason to live. Watch this touching story in the video above.
