It's Not About You!

And so, having done everything right, let's say that you are now an elected official. Now, remember your family -- they must come first. Never treat the press as a nuisance to be ignored. Find someone who will create a professional-looking website for you. Never exaggerate your personal biography. If you didn't graduate, don't pretend you did -- it's not an "embellishment," it's a lie. And most of all, remember why you are doing this -- to serve the people who elected you. You are asking to be a servant of the people. Don't forget them. They put you into office.
