There's a marriage in Cana. The magnificent landscape of the Gaillee is filled with guests witnessing the union of a Jewish man and a woman starting a new life together. Jewish custom requires 7 days of wedding blessings, celebration and feasting. This wedding party was no exception. In attendance was a very special honored guest.
Blessed are You, Lord our God, King of the universe, who created joy and gladness, groom and bride, delight, singing, dance, happiness, love, companionship, peace and friendship. Speedily, O Lord our God, may there be heard in the cities of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem, the sound of joy and the sound of gladness, the voice of the groom and the voice of the bride, the sound of the celebrating of grooms from their wedding canopies, and of young men from their feasting and singing. Blessed are You, Lord, who gladdens the groom and the bride.
