I, too, am a member of this club, though it was not an easy realization to come to. I had to step back one day and think about why I found myself in the same situations over and over again. I knew there was a lesson in the repetition and soon it dawned on me: I was frequently sacrificing my own growth, happiness and often times, physical well-being for others.
I believe kindness, giving, and helping others whenever possible is a priority - but there is a line. There are times when you know it's the right thing to do, and there are many times when your intuition tells you otherwise. You know you should be putting your life or yourself first.
