Dealing with Social Media Envy
A study found that Facebook and other social networking sites should be avoided if it constantly makes you feel jealous or hurts your well-being. Facebook stood out in this study due to the 30 billion pieces of content being shared monthly, and by reaching so many people, many have become depressed and jealous. Many users are dealing with stressful emotions, including jealousy, social media overload, isolation and depression, and it is spilling into their lives. The study called Envy on Facebook: A Hidden Threat to Users’ Life found that significant exposure to social damages our health. Be honest, all of us deal with jealousy, but when you’re constantly viewing married people when you’re single, and other events you lack in your personal life—it can beat you up.
