Caffeine
Ah, the zing in your cup...or can. Not only will it give you that “wake up” factor, caffeine can squelch hunger pangs. It also increases your metabolism, adding a little boost to finish your hump day slump. The downside: drink too much and it can cause health problems and unpleasant side effects. Bypass caffeinated drinks (as well as foods) that are high in sugar, fat, and calories.
And don’t count out decaf. It seems counterintuitive, but some studies show that decaf produces lower hunger levels than regular caffeine.
