The National Sleep Foundation found that 45 percent of Americans reported that lack of sleep is impacting their lives and health on a daily. Insomnia zaps energy, health, alertness and can wreck havoc in our daily lives. We all can struggle with sleepless nights, but it if it persists for more than three weeks--it needs to be addressed by your doctor.
Harvard Health wrote lack of sleep is not to be treated lightly.
“People who are persistently sleep deprived are more likely to have high blood pressure, diabetes, and narrowed blood vessels. Each of these can decrease blood flow inside the brain. Brain cells need a lot of oxygen and sugar, so blood flow problems could affect their ability to work properly.” We will look at how decorating our bedrooms impacts our sleep.
