Breathe
Try some deep breathing exercises. You don’t need to go to some swami to learn these; just breathe in and out slowly, with awareness, for a minute or two at a time. Deep breathing for a minute will make time stand still, but persevere (and use a timer, if you have one). Way back in the 1940s, tobacco companies advertised cigarettes as being helpful for weight loss, but it is the deep slow breathing that helps calms you and soothe your appetite.
