Emphasizing Your Role
If you are a teacher, a health practitioner, or a complementary healer, wearing blue suggests that you are knowledgeable and dedicated to serving others; light blue suggests a creative capacity for healing. Add orange accents to signal that you have mental energy and independence, or yellow to signal a powerful intellect. If you have to give lectures, be sure to wear bright colors, which will help to make your performance at the lecturn eye-catching and memorable. Avoid all-white or all-black outfits.
A lawyer or public servant might wear dark blue or green with a red tie or brooch: the blue suggests dedicated service, and the green an optimistic outlook; red indicates energy and a passionate pursuit of the goal tempered by the more sober blues and greens of the main suit. Architects, writers, musicians, artists, and designers are free to combine colors to reflect their own preferences and color vibrations. A mixture of bright colors will tend to stimulate creativity while suggesting to potential clients and others that they are fresh -thinking, perhaps unconventional, with an open mind.
If you happen to be pregnant, on maternity leave, a full-time mother, or a kindergarten teacher, wearing green and light blue or pastel shades is soothing for the body and for your young charges.
